In a busy and fast-moving world we shouldn’t underestimate the importance of taking a little downtime every now and then to give ourselves some head space. To support this idea we have installed a life-size version of a rather familiar game in our meeting area, the Hub.
This initiative was launched on ‘Blue Monday’ (21st January 2019), as it has been calculated to be the most depressing day of the year due to a combination of post-Christmas and holiday blues and cold, dark nights.
While the science behind the date may not be strictly accurate, it is nevertheless a great opportunity to highlight the issue of mental health, and recognise how vital it is to take time to look after yourself. We have two mental health first aiders in the company, who are both available to offer support to anyone who is feeling like they need some help, advice or even just someone to talk to.
Operation Head Space will be running throughout lunchtimes for the rest of January.
