C2C was appointed to deliver a 250m² cleanroom in Sunderland as part of an £18 million consortium project to develop and scale production of the future generation of electric vehicle batteries. Driving the Electronic Revolution Industrialisation Centres (DER-IC), Newcastle University, and Sunderland County Council made up the consortium, and C2C was able to lend its cleanroom expertise to the North East centre.
