What did the client need?
Kingfield Electronics needed an ISO Class 8 cleanroom at its plant in Chesterfield, UK, to create a consistent environment for electrical component assembly. Kingfield is a contract electronics manufacturing (CEM) solutions provider that caters to companies operating in a variety of high reliability, high quality, function critical markets including scientific and laboratory, defence and aerospace.
How did the client benefit?
We collaborated with Kingfield Electronics, to develop a cleanroom which met their requirements. Particular consideration was given to the process flow within the cleanroom and materials transfer, to ensure the cleanroom was a functional space. The cleanroom also features air conditioning, an internal change area, LED lighting and multi-media trunking for essential services.
How did we help the client?
This new addition to its capability enables Kingfield to offer a total contract electronics manufacturing solution to those companies looking to manufacture products which are sensitive to particulate contamination. The new ISO Class 8 cleanroom allows Kingfield the facility to manufacture a wide range of products for companies in the medical, scientific instrumentation, optics, nanotechnology and micro-mechanical industries.
