What did our client need?

AGMA is a trusted global leader in bespoke chemical manufacturing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for its products has been high and it has been AGMA’s objective to keep a continuous supply of its chemicals to its customer base.

Despite global supply chain challenges related to the availability of raw materials and extended lead times, AGMA has achieved these objectives and can positively assert that not one client has been let down by a lack of supply of its critical products.

With demand showing no signs of slowing down and with a forward-thinking approach to improving process and performance, AGMA decided to extend its cleanroom capacity.

How did we help our client?

Having already built several clean environments at its site in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, Angstrom is a long-standing partner of AGMA. This time, we were appointed to deliver a softwall cleanroom that will increase cleanroom production capacity by 100%.

The 48m² softwall ISO cleanroom provides contamination control for the manufacture of sterile wet wipes and dry wipes, for global pharmaceutical markets and the NHS. The cleanroom will house a production line for the impregnation and packaging of wipes with chemical solutions.

Every solution produced by AGMA is formulated by in-house experts and tested by leading global auditors. The cleanroom is validated to ISO 14644-1:2015 class 7, which gives quality assurance that the wipes are suitable for use in critical applications to control bioburden.

How did our client benefit?

AGMA reconfigured its facility by converting three rooms into one large space, into which we installed the custom-built softwall cleanroom. The cleanroom has been built for future capacity to accommodate a forecasted increase in demand.

The cleanroom features separate change area and materials access zones, with the main area housing a number of machines for a range of applications such as packaging and label application.

AGMA’s range of high-performance cleaning chemicals is available to our client base through our consumables division, Cleanroomshop.
