The training was held at Angstrom’s Lancaster office and Active Pharma appreciated the opportunity to come away from their site to a third-party led training session.
Whilst already aware of most cleaning practices, the delegates wanted to find out if they could improve their current techniques to ensure a surface is decontaminated properly to prevent cross-contamination.
Best-practice cleaning techniques
The trainer found out about their current practices then demonstrated some best-practice cleaning techniques to help make improvements. Training aids were used as a visible and memorable way to consolidate new behaviours. The use of a UV lamp during the surface cleaning demo was particularly effective in highlighting which wiping technique was most efficient at particle and residue removal.
Active Pharma had originally attended several Angstrom’s free open days, which is an overview of cleanroom best practices delivered through a mix of presentations and practical demonstrations. The full CPD-certified cleanroom training course looks at subjects like gowning, cleaning, materials transfer and hand hygiene, in more depth, giving delegates a fresh perspective on topics, situations, and hazards, to improve their knowledge and accountability and impart good behaviours.
Certificates of attendance
Certificates of attendance were awarded to all delegates, detailing the CPD hours accrued. When added to their training records these certificates will evidence continuous development at customer audits. This will help to provide clients with the assurances they need, which is invaluable.
