Our Story (Part 2) – Develop, Establish, Grow (2007-2012)

15 Years Logo

As part of our 15 year anniversary celebrations, we are looking back over our years in business in a series of blog posts. This week brings us to 2007-2012.

On the strong foundations of our early years and with our move to larger premises in 2007 we continued to develop, establish and grow in our industry.

2008 was a year for monumental change across the globe - The Large Hadron Collider was powered up at CERN, Usain Bolt was breaking records in Beijing and Connect 2 Cleanrooms were becoming ISO accredited!

Achieving ISO accreditation proved our commitment to providing clients with quality service & products. These days, with 5 Quality, Safety, Health and Environment accreditations under our belt, that commitment is stronger than ever.

In 2009, 4 years before the ISO Cleanroom Energy Standard was released, we launched our ECO Cleanroom Control System. With automated control increasing air supply dependant on the levels of contamination, plus lighting control and temperature, humidity and pressure logging - the ECO control system was ahead of its time.

Now with a touch screen interface, BMS compatibility and FTP data transfer, our Control System transforms our clean environments into smart cleanrooms.

Realising we had built up so much industry knowledge that could help our clients, we held our first ever Cleanroom Open Day in 2010. Education is important to us, so we still run these free sessions, with presentations and practical sessions on cleanroom protocols, as well as bespoke training courses for clients looking for more complex training.

Open Day

All this time, our team had been growing - with new Accounts, Quality and Marketing functions all being formed in the business, alongside growth in our Design, Manufacture, Planning, Procurement and Client Relations teams.

As a result, we outgrew the offices that once seemed huge – so in 2012 we expanded to our current facilities in Halton, Lancaster.

Come back next week to find out about our most recent history.
