Further options for bespoke cleanrooms

Our unique modular cleanrooms offer a simpler more sustainable solution. Located within existing rooms, they are freestanding, robust structures that create a localised clean area.
They achieve the range of ISO Cleanroom Classification with reduced or no Building Regulation, lower upfront costs, lower running costs, short installation times and more flexible design.
Connect 2 Cleanrooms can provide bespoke solutions to suit your very own requirements. The following video illustrates a sample of features that we can offer:

Material Examples

1.0  Cleanroom Panels

Hard wall panels – Clear

Constructed from PETg: Robust, with a high resistance to alcohol and solvents and offers excellent visibility due to its transparency, allowing process observation from outside of the cleanroom. All panels can feature company branding, provided they are supplied prior to installation and will be used for exterior walls/viewing panels and interior divides.

Hard wall panels – Opaque

Rigid opaque PVC: This has a good resistance to alcohol and solvents, providing a bright, white finish to walls and will be used for exterior walls and interior divides.

Softwall panels

Clear/Opaque PVC softwall panels with 50% overlap: These provide an excellent and durable barrier against the uncontrolled environment outside of the cleanroom as well as good resistance to alcohol and solvents. The distinct advantage during usage is that only a small aperture is created when entering or exiting the cleanroom, quickly restoring the barrier once passed. Softwall panels can be used as full softwall cleanrooms or as entrance ways for hardwall cleanrooms. Softwall panels are also used for internal divides in the modular cleanroom.

Ceiling

Clear acrylic: This has the advantage of allowing large amounts of light into the cleanroom, maximising the use of the ambient light already present in the outside area and promotes an open, airy and productive working environment.

Rigid PVC: This provides an excellent finish to the cleanroom, reflecting the light from light fittings back into to room which promotes a bright, well-lit and productive working environment.

Emergency breakout panel

To provide a quick escape route from a cleanroom, in the event of an emergency. The panels can be clear or opaque and will be clearly marked with the applicable phrase e.g. Emergency Exit. The breakout wall is attached to the steel frame of the cleanroom by magnets and will also feature a stainless steel handle.

2.0  Frame

Powder coated steel

Mild steel covered with a polyester powder coating (RAL-9003): This provides a very even, semi-gloss finish that offers excellent resistance to the alcohol and solvents required to maintain the cleanroom.

(304 / 316 Grade) Stainless steel

304/316 Grade Stainless Steel: This features high resistance to oxidisation and the alcohol and solvents required to maintain the cleanroom as well as a visually-appealing brushed finish.

Vent Protectors

A specially created plate to sit in front of the vent at the base of the cleanroom; masking the vent without disrupting airflow.

3.0 Feet Options

Castors

Castors fitted to the legs of the cleanroom structure, enabling the cleanroom to be mobile.

Fixed feet

Metal plates with 4 x fixing positions fitted to the legs of the cleanroom structure, allowing the cleanroom to be securely bolted to the floor.

Adjustable height feet

Stainless steel height adjustable feet are available for the smaller cleanroom options.

4.0  Entrances

Steel skinned doors

Steel-skinned doors: These feature a polyurethane powder-coat, stainless steel handles, self-closing mechanism, finger and kick plates and a viewing panel. They perhaps provide a more conventional method of entry for operators and offer an effective barrier for the cleanroom.

Softwall entrances

Clear PVC softwall panels with 50% overlap: These provide an excellent and durable barrier against the uncontrolled environment outside when not in use. The distinct advantage during usage is that only a small aperture is created when entering or exiting the cleanroom, quickly restoring the barrier once passed.

5.0 Lighting

Numerous lighting options are available utilising LED and fluorescent lighting, to provide a good working environment for operators.
36W fluorescent light fittings are standard which carry a suitable IP rating and will be ceiling mounted, but all lighting requests can be bespoke designed into the cleanroom.

6.0 Transfer Hatches

Stainless steel and polypropylene hatch with interlocked doors for goods transfer. Default sizes 600 mm x 600 mm x 600 mm but bespoke options will be provided.

7.0  Integral benches

Stainless steel Grade 304 integral benches providing work stations that are attached to the cleanroom structure. They can be solid or perforated to allow interrupted airflow.

8.0  Anti-static control

Anti-static Ionstorm® bars fitted to your FFUs for long distance static neutralisation. Ionstorm® controller to set frequency, balance and alarm settings.

9.0  Change area

Promoting best practice in a cleanroom. A change area provides the opportunity to don cleanroom apparel prior to entering the cleanroom area.

10.0  HEPA / ULPA Fan filter units

Fan filter units (FFU) are mounted into the ceiling of the cleanroom and offer an effective and economic filtration solution. Very low energy – 220 watts. Cost to run one fan filter unit per day = 47p.

11.0 ECO

Digital speed control – ECO Closed Loop Control System: Totally automated cleanroom operation with constant data logging of temperature, humidity and particle counts. Automatic FFU control is driven entirely by a particle counter, thus maintaining your required ISO14644-1 Classification with minimal energy consumption.
12.0  Temperature & humidity control

Ceiling or wall mounted control only, to close loop upflow system which can be ducted keeping components outside the room protecting the integrity of the room, with alarm functions. All variable options can be accommodated.

13.0  Flooring

Cleanroom flooring, jigsaw fixing to eliminate gaps in the floor. The floor has excellent coving facilities to ensure a seamless edge with a wall of corner. Also available with connecting profiles. The flooring is non slip and does not retain particles.

14.0  Service contract

Taking out a service contract with Connect 2 Cleanrooms will give benefits including a 24 hour helpline and a visit from one of our trained Engineers within 24 hours from call out in the unlikely event of a problem within the cleanroom.

The agreement features 2 service and re validation visits per year, allowing the cleanroom to be tested, ensuring that the cleanroom is being maintained to the required ISO standard.

The service agreement offers complete peace of mind regarding the ongoing operation of the cleanroom.
